Our practice is locally owned and operated. We offer Optometry service to suit the needs of all the members of your family. We are part of Eyecare Plus Optometrists, a select group of independently owned and clinically driven optometry practices across Australia.

Located in the heart of Bendigo in our purpose built practice we are here to care for your vision health and provide you and your family with complete eye care in one convenient location. Patient Focus is our number one priority.

Meet out team

Mark

Mark Prince is our Owner Optometrist. He is a Member of the OAA (Optometrists Association of Australia) and has over 30 years experience as a practicing Optometrist. Mark is a Father of 4 kids and a former AFL umpire. 

Marks hobbies include AFL, Cricket, Cooking and spending time with his family at the beach.

Reachel

Reach is our resident style Guru. With extensive background experience in fashion retail, she is an expert at helping you find the best frame for the best fit.

Barbara

Barb has more than 30 years of experience in the Optical Industry. Barb has a keen eye for selecting the right frame and nothing is too much trouble if it means making a customer happy.

Check Up

Regular eye tests, once every 12 - 24 months, 
help your Optom keep track of your eye health. 

Dispense

Not all eye check up result in the need for glasses, how ever if you do need new specs we have got you covered with a wide selection with no hidden extras.

Continuous Care

Our care for you doesn't stop at the end 
of your visit, we will always be here if you need 
us and we will let you know when it's 
time to come back.

What you can expect when you visit us . . .

You will be greeted by one of our friendly Staff Members when you attend your appointment. We use the latest equipment to pretest your vision while you wait for your appointment this helps give our Optometrist Mark a broader understanding of your current vision.

During your appointment with Mark he will give you a comprehensive test which will include your visual acuity, occular pressures and check the physical health of your eyes. Mark will be able to answer any questions you have about your vision and he will make recommendation suitable for your needs.

You may be offered and are welcome to request Retinal photography during your appointment. A specialised camera is used to take a photographic record of the interior part of your eye including the retina and macula, this record is valuable in monitoring changes over time to the parts of your eye responsible for sight. changes to your sight can be subtle and you may not notice which is why photographic records can be useful.

If necessary Mark will give you a prescription and recommend lenses to suit your needs, he will introduce you to one of our friendly Optical Dispensing staff, Barb and Reachel, who assist you to choose a frame and make the finishing touches to your glasses.

We will order your glasses with care on the same day that you have made your selection, our lens laboratory is located in Australia and your lenses will be ground and cut to meet your unique needs.
When your glasses are ready for you to collect we will notify you, we like to take extra care in making sure your are spot on so we usually advise 1 week turn around time from order to collection. 

When you come to collect your glasses we will ensure that they meet your expectations and needs and make some final fitting adjustments just to get that extra comfort factor.

Our commitment to Quality and Customer Satisfaction means that we are confident you will be 100% happy with your new glasses but if you have any issues we will be happy to work with you to get your glasses just right.

EFTPOS - we accept all forms of payment including VISA and MASTERCARD (except American Express)

HICAPS - With a the aid of HICAPS We support all health funds and offer instant health fund rebates when you present your membership card.

MEDICARE - We are online with medicare and can apply for partial or bulk billing at your appointment, you don't need to follow up with Medicare for reimbursment.

ONLINE BOOKING - If you dont have time to talk that's ok, we've got you covered with online appointment booking. Simply click the green button at the top of this page and choose a time that suits you.

VES - We are a provider for the Victorian Eyecare Service, a Low cost glasses scheme funded by the Victorian government for pension and healthcare card holders.

ON SITE PARKING - you have the choice of free 90minute street parking or private patient parking at the back of our practice.

REPAIRS - In most cases we can fix your specs while you wait or leave it with us and pick it up later.
